This week I have a full schedule, and find it difficult to get up to cruising speed right away on a Monday morning.
I resume production of Intelligent Utility, the second issue of the year. I have until March 4 to complete all layouts and a cover story illustration. Fortunately I am spared the extra labor of styling a first issue, which increased the time needed last production cycle, never mind that it fell over the Christmas holiday.
I also continue work on the new website project I am doing for Yale University. I’ve structured this a bit differently, building a detailed timeline with noted milestones and deadlines. By the end of this week I need to show a static model with jpegs of each page template.
At the same time I am building a static landing page for the other project I am partnering with my long-time colleague Myrna James Yoo. I am excited because this project is finally taking flight. She and I started talking about it last May!
We finally hired a web developer for it: Western Ascent, headed by John Daharsh. We’ll be using the popular and effective BaseCamp for project management, and basing the site in Drupal. All new territory for me.
This week will require me to move the film My Stunt Double to the next phase, that of second rough cut, after soliciting feedback from a small selection of peers and team members. It will need some massive revisions.
