The cover of Intelligent Utility, January/February 2010. This is not the actual cover which was published, as a lot of extra components had to be added which did the layout no good. But this is about 88% matched.
Welcome to 2010. I’ve just completed about four editorial illustrations and new designs which I am posting in my portfolios here.
2010 finds me reaching out to new and existing clients for new work in the area of web and multimedia. In addition to developing some nice websites using tools like WordPress and Drupal, I plan also to develop at least one iPhone app for some existing clients. This is a bit challenge, but I feel I am up for it.
Will this be the year we see Web 3.0? I’ve recently subscribed to a UK-based magazine, .Net, which is all about trends, techniques and news in the web design and development industry. I am eating it up.
It is a bit of a contradiction, in a way. The very technology that threatens to kill print editorial is being delivered in print, and that is the way I prefer it. .Net has a good website, but their articles are only available in the print edition. Additionally, for my own habits, I find I do most of my liesure reading on my iPhone or in the printed page, but not on my computer. It’s part of my natural way to separate work from personal lives. It is also the reason I advocate developing an iPhone app to several of my clients.
